Top 10 Tips to Promote Your Books Through Flyers

A good, inexpensive way to promote your books is a flyer. What makes one
flyer so much better than another? Use these tips to make yours stand out
from the crowd.

1. Include your front cover. People want to see what your book looks like.
Color is great, but not necessary. Make sure your colored book cover copies
well in black and white. It's far cheaper to print in black and white.

2. Hook your prospective buyers in the top line. For instance, read about SEX
as it really is! Give your audience a reason to buy--Show those benefits!

3. Include some juicy excerpts. Buyers want to see a sample of your writing.

4. Include your picture with a brief biography near it. People want to see
what the author looks like. Place it on the right side if possible.

5. Add praise from others. This is the most important way to market. The
praise doesn't have to be from famous people. One author added a testimonial
from a convict!

6. Put ordering information on a coupon at the flyer's bottom. Include ISBN
number, Web site URL, and discount information.

7. Make it easy to buy. Say you accept credit cards, checks or money orders.
Include your 800 number.

8. Give your buyers all the ways to stay in touch with you-street address,
e-mail, Web Site, local phone and fax number, and 800 number.

9. Carry at least 25 flyers with you in a folder. Give one to every person
you meet. Remember the "law of seven." After seven exposures, you have a
buyer!

10. Use the backside of the flyer. Multiply buying results with more
testimonials on the back. Include a longer excerpt from your book.

Your flyer is an extension of your book, and one of the least expensive ways
to market with print. Print hundreds, even thousands so your book buying
public can easily purchase your book.

Very handy that you can put it in your handbag wherever you go. You can use it to read those tiny words in the label when you are grocery shopping. Better than magnifier glass because the width of this bookmark covers the whole line of a page.

Star Wars Vader Darth Messenger Bag for Laptop or School Book

Star Wars Vader Darth Messenger Bag for Laptop or School Book
Customer Review: Not very Sturdy

Purchased this bag for my son who loves star wars. It is very attractive, but did not last more than a few weeks. We ended up getting rid of it sooner than we wanted, it just fell apart.

Open Season

Open Season
Open Season is a riotous romp in the great outdoors, where rowdy forest animals turns the tables on unsuspecting hunters. When a domesticated grizzly named Boog leaves the creature comforts of home with a mule deer named Elliot, he finds himself lost in the woods just three days before hunting season. Forced to "rough it" in the great outdoors, Boog goes native, rallying all the forest animals to take back their home and send the hunters packing.

Customer Review: so-so, wish it was longer.

Super cute.

Even though I am an adult, I love kids games.

BUT the game is so short. It took just a few short hours to complete.

Customer Review: All Game -- No Violence

What I love most about this game is that it doesn't have violence even though it's got a hunting theme. The animals are lovable characters, and it's good to get a game that both small boys and girls can enjoy -- and of course everyone older too!

There should be more family oriented X-Box 360 games like this one.

Let It Be

Let It Be
Sloppy in conception, and even sometimes in the playing, Let It Be often gets a bad rap. Unfairly, as it's often as charming, well written, and (oh yeah) rocking as the Beatles' "better" albums; it's also more outright fun than Abbey Road, the masterpiece it followed into the stores. With Lennon and McCartney working together on the perfect "I've Got a Feeling," "Two of Us," and "Dig a Pony," it's hard to believe these guys were about to implode. --Rickey Wright

Customer Review: Mostly a bunch of demos

It is difficult to criticise this album, as it was never really produced the way the Beatles wanted it. Moreover, many of the songs don't have the live feel the Beatles wanted (even without the overdubs) they just sound unfinished. 'The long and winding road' is a gorgeous Beatles song, but a proper definitive version was never released. Take the version without the strings, a badly recorded bass part, it just is not complete. Same for 'I me mine' an incomplete song, edited together, so it appears longer. They never got 'Across the universe' right either, although it is a lovely song. 'I dig a pony' sounds like a demo of a song pattern, undeveloped and merely repeated.

Judged as a bunch of demos, Lennon's material is lacking. 'I dig a pony' is his only new song to the record, the other contributions being a small part of 'I've got a feeling' and older songs regurgitated for this project. Paul shines with five new recordings and they clearly are the highlight of the record, although some are incomplete.

Customer Review: Just revisiting my old music.

I purchased this to replace my scratched up record I purchased back when I was 14-quite a while ago. Enjoying the music and great memories; creating new ones with my kids!

LeapFrog Leapster® Educational Game: Scholastic Animal Genius

LeapFrog Leapster® Educational Game: Scholastic Animal Genius
Discover fascinating facts about many exciting animals in the wild. Your little learner will love building basic science skills while playing unique thinking games and challenges in Animal Genius. Requires Leapster Multimedia Learning System (sold separately).

Customer Review: Animal Genius

My daughter is 5 years old and this is one of her favorite games. She has learned so many facts about different animals. It is definitely for a younger age group than the game says. My 7 year old nephew does not take interest in this. It is probably better suited for 4-6 years old.

Customer Review: Fun & Educational - a family favorite Leapster game

Santa brought this for my (soon to be) 6-year old, and she loves it! It is by far her favorite game. It is educational, fun, and does not fall into a repetitive rut that would make the game boring.

There are goals set to "win" animals, and quizzes on the animal once you have enough points. This game is set to reward correct answers & doesn't make a big deal if an incorrect answer is selected. Just try again!

We love this game & would recommend it for any child under the age of 8.

CHE GUEVARA Classic RED VINTAGE STYLE T Shirt

CHE GUEVARA Classic RED VINTAGE STYLE T Shirt
One of the sweetest looking Che Guevara shirts around...guaranteed to get a few "cool shirt" comments every time you wear it. Features a great-looking graphic print of the revolutionary, Che Guevara.

Customer Review: Inexpensive...but cheaply made

This shirt looked so cool. I'm a Spanish teacher, and big Che fan, so I thought this would be fun to wear on "casual Friday." When I got it, I noticed a little black ink on the bottom hem that I just kind of ignored. After I washed it though, the whole bottom hem began to unravel. If you just want an inexpensive T, this shirt is good. But it is very low quality.

My mom turned 75 last weekend. We had a series of events to celebrate and I called it momopalooza. (That’s grandmapalooza for the grand kids.) Family members flew in and were distributed throughout the local guest rooms (I was lucky enough to host my darling sister-in-law and niece, a recent high school graduate. My brother and other niece are traveling in Australia and missed the party). Events included a BBQ hosted by my very creative sister. The tables were lovely and she had a mister goin
