Let me start off with the good things:
-the graphics are phenomenal
-you can choose your character
Now, the bad things:
-unlike the other HP games, you CANNOT wander around the Hogwarts grounds, which I enjoyed.
-The mouse has NO action whatsoever, not even in the main menu!
-I get stuck on so many levels, because most controls are NOT EXPLAINED! Not even in the manual!
-your "friends" (whoever you're not playing with) are so slow in following you and are almost always occupied with sneezing or wandering around when you need help so badly!
-I tried to install this game for one full year and never got it to install until I did some tricky things
Overall, I would have rated this game five stars if the bad things were fixed.
I think that EA Games was just porting over a Play Station game (I can tell by the graphics style) and not bothering to make it anymore convenient. EA did a poor job here. I would sort of recommend this game.

I LOVED the first four (SS, CoS, TPoA, and QWC) games.
The first one was a little too easy (I beat it in three days after some practice), the second one being a bit too hard (I have a fear of fire snails), the Third one and Quiddich World Cup being perfect.
When I bought the first game I was expecting another GREAT game. But here is what I got: graphics that were grainy, NO exploring, and no fun trunks with goodies. it was a HARD game, and i'm still stuck on the second task. I can't believe I decided to buy PetVet later because I wanted this. Here's hoping you can explore in the fifth one.

This second volume of "Wimpy Kid" stories is just as compulsively readable as the first, once again giving us a glimpse into the world of Greg Heffley, a typical, terrible preteen American kid.
This volume focuses more attention on Greg's rotten older brother, Roderick, and delves deeper into their ongoing sibling warfare. One weekend, Roderick throws a "Risky Business"-style house party when the 'rents go out of town (and locks his little brother in the basement so he won't get in the way...) but Greg gets in trouble anyway, just because that's the way it works when you're a kid. Meanwhile, he's up to his usual hijinks at school and at home: Greg becomes popular after inventing a way to psychologically torture another kid by getting the whole school to pretend he doesn't exist; he has ongoing difficulty understanding why his durfy pal Rowley is so popular with the girls, and he frets endlessly that Roderick will "out" him over an embarrassing incident that happened over Summer vacation... Greg gives Roderick all kinds of power over him all year long (and won't tell us what happened, until the very end) and of course it turns out to be hardly anything at all -- just the kind of thing that a preteen kid would agonize over, although the panic doesn't really translate into the adult world.
I have to admit, this series got to be a little exhausting after a while, although I read it from start to finish, unable to put it down. It's just that I had this nagging feeling that I should chase that kid away or call the cops or something... And what the heck is a twelve-year-old doing going out trick-or-treating, anyway? As are all Haynes Manuals this book is an excellent source of information for do-it-yourselfers. Problem is they need to update the book. When I asked for some of the "new" paint products at a body shop they told me I would need to go to a museum.

Just fyi, but the software is included with this device. You need to enter the software key that is printed on a lable and stuck to the "installation guide". If you do that, the backup software shifts from being a "trial version" to a fully licensed and functional version. Thus far, it seems to work well.

Apart from making my other portable hard drives look rather frumpy, I have no complaints about this hard drive. It turned itself on when I first plugged it in and autoran the installer for the software that is included. I deleted the stuff, so I can't say whether it was good or not, but it was bundled software, so you can probably guess. Regardless, all I needed was more space to store my stuff, and the fact that it sits there all black and sleek and pulses with light in the front makes it good eye-candy, too. It's a portable hard drive, it works, it's cheap, and it's sexy. I win!

Customer Review: Engaging fun for my 3+ year old!!
This Batman game has me sold on the virtues of the Leapster. Shapes and slicing them in half, greater vs. less than, numbers with simple addition/subtraction, fine motor coordination, simple sheer fun! My son just likes me to watch him play the game on the couch. It's challenging for him with different levels of difficulty as he tries to battle and reach the arch-villain. It has helped him construct "good guy" and "bad guy" distinction. My son received the game with a Leapster L-Max for X-mas and will turn 4 on Apr 10, he's even beginning to read already, so whatever we're doing as concerned parents it's working! Definately a winner for this family. My daughter is 2.5 years old and we're going to get her a pink L-Max for her birthday with a Dora and Barbie/Princess game; but we're looking at perhaps the Thomas the Tank Engine or Cars game next for my son?? The reviews for them look good as well...

My boys just turned 5 and this Batman game is by far their favorite. They love the challenge of finding their way through the rooms, "stunning" the enemies, and finding the sparkling prizes.
It has been really helping with their fine motor skills, which is the real reason I wanted the Leapsters in the first place.
Although they need help with some of the math (greater than and less than mostly, a concept which they are still working on), they have surprised me that they can match all the shapes, do the simple addition, and figure out how to "cut" shapes geometrically in half.
My 7 year old daughter also enjoys playing this Batman game on her brothers' Leapsters. It's definitely not only for boys.

This volume focuses more attention on Greg's rotten older brother, Roderick, and delves deeper into their ongoing sibling warfare. One weekend, Roderick throws a "Risky Business"-style house party when the 'rents go out of town (and locks his little brother in the basement so he won't get in the way...) but Greg gets in trouble anyway, just because that's the way it works when you're a kid. Meanwhile, he's up to his usual hijinks at school and at home: Greg becomes popular after inventing a way to psychologically torture another kid by getting the whole school to pretend he doesn't exist; he has ongoing difficulty understanding why his durfy pal Rowley is so popular with the girls, and he frets endlessly that Roderick will "out" him over an embarrassing incident that happened over Summer vacation... Greg gives Roderick all kinds of power over him all year long (and won't tell us what happened, until the very end) and of course it turns out to be hardly anything at all -- just the kind of thing that a preteen kid would agonize over, although the panic doesn't really translate into the adult world.
I have to admit, this series got to be a little exhausting after a while, although I read it from start to finish, unable to put it down. It's just that I had this nagging feeling that I should chase that kid away or call the cops or something... And what the heck is a twelve-year-old doing going out trick-or-treating, anyway? Customer Review: Good overview, but dated
This book is a skillfully written and well illustrated overview of the paint and body techniques of the late 1980s. You are better off looking at this one at the library and buying an up-to-date book.
Customer Review: Some information out-of-date
As are all Haynes Manuals this book is an excellent source of information for do-it-yourselfers. Problem is they need to update the book. When I asked for some of the "new" paint products at a body shop they told me I would need to go to a museum.

Customer Review: The Software IS Included!
Just fyi, but the software is included with this device. You need to enter the software key that is printed on a lable and stuck to the "installation guide". If you do that, the backup software shifts from being a "trial version" to a fully licensed and functional version. Thus far, it seems to work well.
Customer Review: Can't speak for the software, but the hardware is great!
Apart from making my other portable hard drives look rather frumpy, I have no complaints about this hard drive. It turned itself on when I first plugged it in and autoran the installer for the software that is included. I deleted the stuff, so I can't say whether it was good or not, but it was bundled software, so you can probably guess. Regardless, all I needed was more space to store my stuff, and the fact that it sits there all black and sleek and pulses with light in the front makes it good eye-candy, too. It's a portable hard drive, it works, it's cheap, and it's sexy. I win!

Customer Review: Engaging fun for my 3+ year old!!
This Batman game has me sold on the virtues of the Leapster. Shapes and slicing them in half, greater vs. less than, numbers with simple addition/subtraction, fine motor coordination, simple sheer fun! My son just likes me to watch him play the game on the couch. It's challenging for him with different levels of difficulty as he tries to battle and reach the arch-villain. It has helped him construct "good guy" and "bad guy" distinction. My son received the game with a Leapster L-Max for X-mas and will turn 4 on Apr 10, he's even beginning to read already, so whatever we're doing as concerned parents it's working! Definately a winner for this family. My daughter is 2.5 years old and we're going to get her a pink L-Max for her birthday with a Dora and Barbie/Princess game; but we're looking at perhaps the Thomas the Tank Engine or Cars game next for my son?? The reviews for them look good as well...
Customer Review: Fun, engaging, and educational.
My boys just turned 5 and this Batman game is by far their favorite. They love the challenge of finding their way through the rooms, "stunning" the enemies, and finding the sparkling prizes.
It has been really helping with their fine motor skills, which is the real reason I wanted the Leapsters in the first place.
Although they need help with some of the math (greater than and less than mostly, a concept which they are still working on), they have surprised me that they can match all the shapes, do the simple addition, and figure out how to "cut" shapes geometrically in half.
My 7 year old daughter also enjoys playing this Batman game on her brothers' Leapsters. It's definitely not only for boys.
