My conscience wouldn't let me leave this item with a 5 star review. My sister and I both agree that this was the worst of all the Nancy Drew Games. This was the only one where we got stuck and had to let the game sit for about 2 years before becoming desperate enough for a mystery game to go back and finish it. It's dry, dull and did I say "Dry and Dull?" Don't let this be the first or only Nancy Drew you buy. In fact, you should only buy this in the 4 or 5 pack like Nancy Drew 75th Anniversary.
The very first episode is difficult to maneuver since you have to change discs, but at least it was cute, set in a high school and a diner. The next couple of games are a little difficult to move around. But, by #3 Message in a Haunted Mansion and #4 Treasure In The Royal Tower they really start getting good. The best are (my order): Nancy Drew - The Secret of Shadow Ranch, Nancy Drew: Secret of the Scarlet Hand, Nancy Drew - Curse of Blackmoor Manor, Nancy Drew: Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, Nancy Drew: Danger on Deception Island, and Nancy Drew: Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon. Though short and without as many fun puzzles and challenges, Nancy Drew: Secret Of the Old Clock and Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek were both very cute. And we still like to go back to Nancy Drew: The Creature of Kapu Cave to go fishing, snorkeling and make necklaces.
I hope you have fun with these and I fervently hope that some other companies would catch on that there is a market for this type of lighthearted and low-violence gaming!!

Customer Review: Mostly good
The only complaint's I have is that I had a bit of a problem converting my quicken data into quickbooks. I was back and forth with quicken and quickbooks customer service because one doesn't know or help with the other.
The other thing would be the possiblity of being able to recieve (record)payments right at the time your typing up the invoice rather then going to a seperate window.
I wish they would combine the best of quicken and quickbooks!

So why am I reviewing a CD that already has 433 reviews? Because I am of an older generation (in my late 40's) and find many songs on this CD to be reassuring that there is hope for my kids generation beyond the mass produced sex pop stars.
John Mayer writes intelligent songs and puts them to real music (Not just the average Brittany Spears/ Paris Hilton sex appeal - which definitely has its place). He plays a bluesy guitar and sings with feeling and emotion. "Waiting on the world to change" is a great song. There are some good love songs as well and Mayer has a good voice which suits the music. My kids listen to this and I approve because it is more sophisticated than a lot of the other pop music that they bring home. I try to be open and encourage my kids to learn about music and it's messaging. A lot of it is crap and there will always be more of it out there. But this is different and I hope John Mayer keeps putting this kind of quality out.

Though short and without as many fun puzzles and challenges, Nancy Drew: Secret Of the Old Clock and Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek were both very cute. And we still like to go back to Nancy Drew: The Creature of Kapu Cave to go fishing, snorkeling and make necklaces.
I hope you have fun with these and I fervently hope that some other companies would catch on that there is a market for this type of lighthearted and low-violence gaming!!

Customer Review: Mostly good
The only complaint's I have is that I had a bit of a problem converting my quicken data into quickbooks. I was back and forth with quicken and quickbooks customer service because one doesn't know or help with the other.
The other thing would be the possiblity of being able to recieve (record)payments right at the time your typing up the invoice rather then going to a seperate window.
I wish they would combine the best of quicken and quickbooks!
Quickbooks is defintely better for my business.

Customer Review: Gives me hope
So why am I reviewing a CD that already has 433 reviews? Because I am of an older generation (in my late 40's) and find many songs on this CD to be reassuring that there is hope for my kids generation beyond the mass produced sex pop stars.
John Mayer writes intelligent songs and puts them to real music (Not just the average Brittany Spears/ Paris Hilton sex appeal - which definitely has its place). He plays a bluesy guitar and sings with feeling and emotion. "Waiting on the world to change" is a great song. There are some good love songs as well and Mayer has a good voice which suits the music. My kids listen to this and I approve because it is more sophisticated than a lot of the other pop music that they bring home. I try to be open and encourage my kids to learn about music and it's messaging. A lot of it is crap and there will always be more of it out there. But this is different and I hope John Mayer keeps putting this kind of quality out.

I bought this clear cookbook holder to replace a similar one that broke after years of daily use. This new one really squashes down the pages and it is very difficult to use for thicker cookbooks. I'm worried that it will eventually lead to unnecessary wear and tear on the bindings.
